Leander van den Bos was born in 2005, Bruinisse (Zeeland, Netherlands). Nowadays he lives in Goes (Zeeland, Netherlands)
After following music-orientation lessons for two years at Zeeuwse Muziekschool, he started studying trumpet, achieved several degrees, and started stuyding organ at age 11 with Rinus Verhage (Sommelsdijk). He continued his studies with Jacob Schenk (Urk) and Evan Bogerd (Amsterdam); the last one prepared him for the conservatoire. Nowadays Leander is studying at Codarts Rotterdam with Aart Bergwerf, (Breda) Christian Schmitt (Stuttgart) and Bas de Vroome (Delft). Next to that he gets improvisation-lessons with Hayo Boerema (Rotterdam), piano lessons with Sara Gutierrez and basso continuo with Bas de Vroome.
In addition to these lessons he followed masterclasses and private lessons with: Jos van der Kooy, Henk Verhoef, Vincent Dubois, Ton Koopman, Ben van Oosten, Laurens Kooracademie and ECHO society. He also won a prize twice at the Duyschot-competition (Amsterdam).
As a concertorganist he gives solo-recitals, but he also accompanies choir, and soloists, and he was allowed to play with large orchestra. Leander is organist in de Gasthuis- en Thomaskerk in Zierikzee (Zeeland, Netherlands) and he teaches over 20 students, mainly young organists. His repertoire goes from the earliest music till the modern music, with a special place for Sweelinck, Franck and Distler.
